Frank Zarba
As a recording artist, band leader, musical agent, vocalist and musician is no stranger to the music scene in New England and on the East Coast presently extending his multi talented repertoire internationally, both in the classical and popular arenas: with symphony orchestras, Broadway musicals, and opera companies. He also is requested to perform at major hotel conventions, political occasions, weddings and hotels.
Graduate of Boston State College, attended the Boston Conservatory of Music on scholarship and studied brass instruments with Joseph Orosz and Double Bass with Henri Girard, both of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and lower brass instruments with the legendary John Coffey of the Boston and NBC Symphony Orchestras. Graduate Degree University of Maryland, Doctorate Degree in Education at BU.
Frank performed widely with area classical ensembles, including the Harvard Radcliffe Orchestra and the Boston Civic Symphony, the 86th Army Band, Chief Warrent Officer for the 26th "Yankee" Division Band. His voice training was continued at Boston Conservatory making a professional debut at the State Ballroom in Boston with a big band, under the direction of his brother, Chris Zarba.
He became well known during his years of studies throughout the East Coast, playing hotel lounges, supper clubs in the Boston and Washington D.C. areas. He has formed many ensembles and performed widely on shows such as the Ice Capades, Ringling Brothers, Barnum & Bailey Circus. He has also performed with such luminaries as John Davidson, Al Martino, Mel Torme, Sandler and Young, Bobby Vinton, Sergio Franchi, Sy Oliver, Paul Hindemith, Bette Davis, Joan Fontaine, Dan Rather, Angela Lansbury.
Frank fulfilled part of a lifetime dream when he recorded his first Album, "Sincerely, Frank Zarba" working together with his two brothers, Chris and Joe with several compositions that were written and arranged by them. Two other CD's have followed and earned a television show appearance on the "Good Day"show.
Always mindful of those less fortunate than he, Frank received his graduate certificate in rehabilitation counseling, and has taught brain-damaged teenagers and federal prison inmates, the importance of music. In that direction, he performed for several benefits through the Department of Health, Education and Welfare.
He joined the Ancient and Honorables and as Warren Officer has performed in the Red Sox celebration of their opening "God Bless America" and overseas for many dignitaries and royalty.
Frank never tires of his musical ability to please his audiences and while his voice continues to reach new heights, he is currently working on a new CD with brothers Chris and Joseph for the American Charisma project.
